Grants for Solar Thermal (hot water) systems ended on 24th May 2010 but from April 2011, Renewable Heat Incentives (RHIs) will replace grant funding for all heat generating technologies. Under the RHI scheme, the average system will earn consumers around £350 per year, in addition to energy bill savings. A Solar Hot Water system fitted now will qualify for RHI's.
